Yoga Schedule and Descriptions:
All yoga classes are gently heated (approx 25-30 degrees) using Infrared Heaters to allow for the greater opening of your joints, to increase your flexibility, and to aid in detoxification (especially when the weather is cool and dry). This new heat is not meant to "burn " you out or make you tired, but to give you a feeling of invigoration and energy. We turn on our ceiling fans at the appropriate times, if the room gets too hot or to circulate the air and cool you down.
WHY Infrared Heat?
-This type of heat draws on the water molecules in the air, so it creates moist and warm heat.
-Infrared Heat is a gentle way to warm a room, allowing the skin, joints, and tissues to detoxify decreasing muscle pain, skin conditions and joint pain.
-The room will be easier to breathe in. The air purifier draws in hair and skin particles allowing for you to breathe in a strong yogic way without drying your throat or creating an infection from air borne particles.

YOGA CLASS DESCRIPTIONS:
Morning/Afternoon Flow Yoga:
A variety of yoga postures to stretch and strengthen your body to start your day fresh and energized. These classes are a combination of flow yoga and held postures focusing on alignment and breath to increase flexibility, stamina, and clarity. These sessions are great for beginners or students who have been developing their practice. Be prepared to sweat, breathe and calm your mind.
Vinyasa Cardio Flow:
Vinyasa means "to link movement with breath." In these classes we will help you to increase cardio, stretch, strengthen and heal the body and mind using postures and breathing. All classes are slightly different, giving your body a variety of poses and breathing techniques to experience. Expect to move, sweat, cleanse and detoxify both physically and mentally.
Core Power Yoga:
An awesome Sunday afternoon sweat fest. In this class, we primarily want to work on the center of the body where we house our digestion, power center, and self esteem. If you're new to yoga or a long term practitioner, check out Core Power Yoga and help develop your inner strength.
Yoga for Strength: Just as the name implies, this class will be for those who want to build strength in their minds and bodies. Suitable for all levels of yoga students who would like to explore not only the stretching in yoga, but also poses that help to tone and lean out your muscles.
Detox Flow:
This hatha flow class will be geared towards forward bends, hip and shoulder openers, twists, and inversions (head lower than heart). We want to help you get deep into the body and encourage the release of toxins in your joints, muscles and lymph.
Maxwell's House Flow:
Is your practice a boring drip? Sweating to the oldies, with flows that are getting moldy? Try a refreshing cup of a class that is based around a coffee shop-esque showcase of freshly ground house tunes and espresso flavoured flows. There will be new artists and themes featured each week, with mixes posted on the website the morning after. Drop in for a pick me up.
Shanti Flow:
Shanti, in Sanskrit, means peace. This class is a relaxed flow for those who are beginning their journey or students who want a more peaceful and tranquil style of yoga. If you suffer with athletic injuries, repetitive strains, overall muscle weakness, or stress this class will be prefect for you. Some props are utilised to ease into poses.
Yoga for Back, Hips and Legs:
This class is for those who are suffering with stiff joints, back aches, or chronic discomfort. We will use a more therapeutic style of yoga to open up the body in a natural, safe way.
Warm Yin Yoga:
Yin yoga is an excellent compliment to a yang practice (more vigorous) or simply attend this class to receive the deep stretch that your body craves. Yin poses are more relaxing in nature and are usually held for 3-5 min. Most of the poses are grounding (on the floor) and will open up the connective tissue of the body to help with chronic pain, general tightness and lessening the feeling of stress and tension. A lot of focus is put on the breath so the body and mind will open naturally and safely over time. To deepen your practice: try the vinyasa class before this one and use the two for a perfect balance of Yang and Yin.
