When Divine Health's Fitness Studio opened its doors in November 2008 to a completely converted space in Riel Business Park, people have been pleasantly surprised calling it a "jewel", hidden within a busy commercial area and athletic fields. So if you do drop by, we are confident that you will be impressed how great it feels to work out in such an intimate and inspiring environment. The two tiered studio layout has an upper level  dedicated to cardio training and the lower level to resistance/functional training and there is never more than 2-4 people in the studio at any one time.  Greg and Mckenzie are Can-fit certified trainers, who will motivate and encourage you to succeed on your health journey. Whether you want to lose weight, change your routine, rehab from an injury or simply step it up to another level... our personal training team will be your support system and help you meet your goals.

Personal Training Packages start at $90.00/ session and drop to $55.00/session, depending on the package that you purchase.We have seen tremendous results when clients make a commitment to their health and train for longer periods of time, allowing for them to develop healthy lifestyle regimes. 

The Value: What can I say about personal training? The testament to having someone by your side to motivate and encourage you is priceless.  Here at Divine Health, it's about session intensity in a shorter amount of time in order to achieve a client's goals. Something that usually lacks if you work out on your own or belong to the mass marketed box gym. We also want to exemplify fitness & wellness by 'walking the talk' as it relates to the value of personal training benefits.

Functional Training vs. Weight Training: Here at Divine Health we do emphasize the importance of functional training and improving the core group of muscles that we use on a daily basis. Functional training originated as a form of injury rehabilitation with exercises that are relevant to the movements of everyday life. Many traditional workout programs limit performance in specific hobbies, sports or daily movements, but functional fitness develops basic motor patterns to work at a higher capacity. Each functional exercise uses complete muscle activation and purposeful movement pattern which allows for maximum strength gains. Traditional weight training often only works one muscle at a time which is contradictory to the normal coordinated effort used to complete most activities. This type of training is more likely to lead to overuse injuries, muscular imbalances, and limit movement and strength gains.

Program Design (in-studio or off-site): So whether you need to shed some 'excess' pounds or are wanting to cross-train in order to achieve a higher level of performance, having someone to push, inspire and instruct can get you or keep you on the right path. We have state of the art equipment to be used for resistance training and 2000 sq. ft. of open floor space for any type of agility or performance type training. With this said, arrangements can also be made for off-site or in-home sessions.

Nutrition & Wellness:  Here is another program to partake in at Divine Health to create the best health possible. This is nutrition that is individualized for you, so that you will not only look great but have more energy, decrease pain, and recover from your workouts better. Western nutrition has its place but this is a science that is rooted in over 5000 years of body/mind awareness. Clients are noticing that even small changes are giving them big results. Becca, RMT and RYT, is also a certified Ayurvedic counsellor, who will help you to understand why we eat what we do; what foods are best for us; and how we can help our bodies heal from ingesting proper  food, spice, and herbs.
